In Michael Ryan’s military career at the 82nd Airborne, he was trained and taught to train soldiers within his unit on the use of biometric collections devices (Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT) and Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE) systems) to be used while deployed in Iraq during OIF, OEF, where he captured dozens of indigenous persons of interest biometrics to be uploaded to a searchable interagency database. This education and experience led to Michael’s incorporation of the concept of blockchain and biometric inclusion into Healthcare protocols for the CoinHealth project and future patient and provider authentication systems. (BAT & HIIDE refer to https://www.nist.gov/sites/default/files/documents/2016/12/12/vermury-bat-hiide.pdf )

CoinHealth intends to start releasing blockchain decentralized applications for health, fitness and medical wellbeing in the first half of 2018 that can be synced with existing mobile IOS and Android handheld and wearable devices. This is just the beginning of the CoinHealth journey to catalyze the healthcare industry into an accessible and cost-effective, secure patient and physician-centric model with use of biometric authentication. Blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized DApps synced with biometrics wearable health, fitness, and medical devices takes medical data security to a level never seen before in Healthcare. No two human beings have Identical physical characteristics, not even if they are the most Identical of twins. Biometrics is the measurement and statistical analysis of physical and behavioral characteristics. The premise of biometric authentication is that everyone is unique, and an individual can be identified by their intrinsic physical or behavioral individuality. Whether it be fingerprinting, voice recognition, Iris Recognition, Retina Recognition, Hand geometry, palm vein scanning, gait or Olfactory Biometrics.

Biometrics authentication is used in computer science as a form of identification and access control. When combined with blockchain technology the physical security of your data is layered, proposing a nearly impenetrable wall of security. With the combination of both physiological and behavioral biometrics that the user selects within the CoinHealth decentralized apps, and the decentralized state of the blockchain. There is no single point of entry for a malicious character to access data. Nor could a malicious actor replicate the unique features of said physical characteristics. This presents the ultimate security, and authentication protocol in healthcare and medical records protection and interface with existing EHR and EMR systems as well as transference of data. CoinHealth is working to present solutions in healthcare through a multiphase release of technology and applications. CoinHealth is the only company presenting this unique solution of the mating of the two technologies to date. Keep your eye on CoinHealth, exciting and innovative advances in Healthcare are to come from this company in the near future.
